Greetings from University Recreation…

 

As another school year begins, it is a time to reflect on times past and a new beginning.  There are many ways for me to characterize the year we’ve just completed. It was a year of challenges and changes as we continue to improve our operation here in University Recreation (URec).  It was a year of growth as we continued to make the Student Activity Center and University Recreation a quality experience here at CMU. It was a year of accomplishment as we met our goals and strived to serve the needs of our students and members.  We look forward to an outstanding 2008-09 school year with many new and exciting initiatives planned for URec.

Staff Changes…

We continue to build a strong team here in URec. We have some new additions to out team that will allow us to provide new programs and service. Our new staff includes: Demond Pryor, Associate Director/Facility Operations; Jen Walters, Assistant Director Facilities and Customer Relations and Graduate Assistants: Micah Walters, Michael Fedewa, Amy Kotulski and Miranda Walson. Please welcome these new additions to out staff here in URec.

Thank You…

We appreciate your involvement in our facilities and programs, and hope that the upcoming year brings you great rewards and participation. Speculation about what the future may hold for CMU and University Recreation as we enter a new year and a period of transition, gives me the opportunity to share what we will strive to accomplished this year.  Hardworking, dedicated, loyal, motivated, humorous, candid, respectful and courteous are characteristics that best describe our staff here in URec. Flexible, understanding, visionary and creative are characteristics that describe who we will strive to be today. We are fundamentally a department that provides a safe, fun and enthusiastic environment, centered on students’ success. We will continue to aim high in all that we do, achieving new heights and accomplishing new goals.
