Dr. John Peldyak had a private practice of general family dentistry in Mt. Pleasant, and now treats children for the Mobile Dentists in-school program.  He was a member of the University of Michigan Research Group which worked with the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe.  He is a coauthor of a new book Xylitol, an Amazing Discovery for Health.

Membership on the Advisory Council provides him an opportunity to express concerns and suggestions that come from community members.  He believes that it is important for the University to have a favorable image and good relationship with the larger community.
